COVID-19: NIGERIAN GOVT LIFTS RESTRICTIONS ON CURFEW, LARGE GATHERINGS

The Nigerian government has lifted a nationwide midnight curfew it earlier imposed to contain the spread of the Coronavirus disease.

 

Restrictions on parties, concerts, and other crowded activities have also been lifted.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister asks NATO allies for more weapons

NATO foreign ministers resumed talks in Brussels on Thursday on how best to support Ukraine as Russian attacks continue.

Ministers from the 30 NATO allies were joined by their counterparts from Australia, Japan, New Zealand -- and the Ukrainian foreign minister himself.

UK UNVEILS NEW ENERGY STRATEGY

Britain is accelerating efforts to move away from oil and gas by stepping up the development of nuclear power.

The new national energy strategy will aim for 95-percent of the UK's electricity to be low-carbon by 2030.

Australian government considers expelling Russian ambassador

Shanghai Adds 20,000 News Cases of COVID-19 Infections

US markets close lower as Fed reveals plans to reduce balance sheet

Biden unveils more sanctions targeting Russia

The United States and its partners in Europe have unveiled a raft of new sanctions targeting Russian banks, the country's oligarchs…even the two daughters of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Ukraine officials warn of imminent Russian attack in the East

Ukraine officials are warning of an imminent attack in the Eastern Donbas region.


The regional governor of Luhansk has urged civilians to leave as soon as possible.


There has been a reduction in the number of Russian troops in the area of Kyiv and in the North over the past few days.


But as of yet, there has not been an intensification of military action in the East.

Putin's daughters and others sanctioned by US

The two adult daughters of Russian President Vladimir Putin are now being sanctioned over the war in Ukraine.


The announcement was made by the Biden administration today….part of a raft of new measures aimed at choking off the Russian economy and the ability of Kremlin insiders to access their wealth.


Also today, the Department of Justice sanctioned a leading Russian oligarch and announced it has disrupted a Russian-controlled malware network that was poised to attack western computer systems.

Oklahoma passes a near total ban on abortion

Tax increase introduced for millions of UK workers
