Ex-Stanford Swimmer Released After Serving Half Sexual Assault Sentence

Three months after he received a lenient punishment for sexually
assaulting an unconscious woman at Stanford University, Brock Turner
was released from a California jail Friday after having served only
half of his six-month sentence. The case drew wide criticism as many
feel the then 19-year-old college athlete deserved a more severe
punishment.
