Gold gains after Trump orders removal of Federal Reserve official Lisa Cook

Gold hit a two-week high on Tuesday, as the dollar fell after US President Donald Trump said he was firing Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook.

Spot gold rose to over $3,378 per ounce in morning trade.
