Suspect in Pittsburgh synagogue shooting charged


The suspect in the Pittsburgh synagogue shooting that left 11 people dead has been charged with 29 counts including federal crimes of violence.

46-year-old Robert Bowers is in hospital receiving treatment for multiple gunshot wounds but is expected in court on Monday.

Meanwhile Pittsburgh's mayor Bill Peduto has called for tighter gun control after the attack on the Tree of Life synagogue:
