2016 expected to set new global warming record

2016 is expected to be the hottest year on record.

International scientists say global warming is being felt on land, in the atmosphere and in the oceans, with warnings of negative consequences for the future of the planet.

As our North American correspondent John Clarke reports, the warnings come as a climate-change doubting president is taking over in the United States, with concerns that international climate agreements could be dismantled.
