Both Ukrainian and Russian officials are reporting heavy clashes between Ukrainian government forces and pro-Moscow rebels in the east of Ukraine.
The US State Department also acknowledged the fighting, saying that the town of Maryinka has been a center point of the attacks.
US State Department spokesperson Marie Harf said that Russian forces have violated the Minsk agreement:
