NATO confirms Rutte as next Secretary-General

The North Atlantic Council has confirmed Mark Rutte as the next leader of NATO.

A major task for the former Dutch Prime Minister will be orchestrating
the North Atlantic Treaty Organization's ongoing response to the war
in Ukraine.

Jailed WSJ journalist Evan Gershkovich appears in Russian court

UN threatens to halt aid deliveries in Gaza

The United Nations to protect humanitarian workers in Gaza.

Russia bans dozens of European news outlets


The Russian government has banned more than 80 European media outlets, including Agence France-Presse or AFP and Ireland's public broadcaster RTE.

The Foreign Ministry in Moscow says the move is in response to the European Union blocking access to multiple Russian networks last month.
