Nigeria launches probe into ongoing power cuts

Nigeria has launched an investigation into its collapsing electricity grid, after it failed again for the eighth time this year, on Monday.


Power cuts continue to plague the country, as Tesem Akende reports from Jos.

UK MORTGAGE MARKET REELS AMID ECONOMIC UNCERTAINTY

Britain's opposition party says government is "out of control" after sterling crash

Britain's opposition Labour Party today branded the government of new Prime Minister Liz Truss as being "out of control" after the pound sank to record low levels against the US dollar in Asian markets earlier today.

Spacecraft about to crash into asteroid .... intentionally

A NASA spacecraft is deliberately slamming into an asteroid — all in the name of planetary protection.


The DART mission, or the Double Asteroid Redirection Test, is set to crash on Monday evening (Eastern Time) into Dimorphos, a small moon in an asteroid system 11 million kilometres from Earth.

11 children among 15 dead after gun attack on Russian school

At least 15 people including 11 children are dead after a gunman opened fire at a school in Russia.


The attack took place in the city of Izhevsk in the center of the country.


The gunman killed himself at the scene, and was reportedly wearing clothing adorned with a swastika symbol.

Uganda Registers Two More Deaths From Ebola
