NASA cancels Moon rocket launch because of engine problem

The US space agency NASA has called off the launch of its largest and most powerful rocket ever after it suffered an engine leak. 


The unmanned Artemis 1 was set to travel to the moon on a weeks-long journey, kicking off a new phase of space exploration, with hopes that astronauts will be able return to the lunar surface by 2025.

Tanzania, Kenya to miss out on China debt relief plan

Tanzania and Kenya might be left out of the Chinese debt relief plan due to the lower-middle-income status of the two countries. More than 1,000 people have been killed since mid-June in floods in Pakistan, as rescue workers continue to evacuate residents in what is being described as a climate catastrophe.

NASA test flight prepares to orbit the moon

NASA is returning to the moon for the first time in 50 years - since the 1972 Apollo mission.

The space launch system rocket - or SLS - is due to blast off on Monday, despite a series of lightning strikes hitting the area around the launchpad during a thunderstorm over the weekend.

US warships navigate Taiwan Strait amid rising tensions

Tensions continue to escalate in the Taiwan Strait as two US warships pass through the sea, in what Washington calls a "demonstration of freedom of navigation through international waters."

The US Justice Department has made public a redacted version of the affidavit that led to the FBI's search of Donald Trump's Florida home earlier this month.


The former President of the United States is being investigated for removing and storing classified files from the White House to his Mar-a-Lago residence, a potential violation of the Espionage Act.

California set to approve petrol vehicle ban
