Court grants leader of Shiite movement in Nigeria full access to medical care



A Nigerian court has ordered for the embattled leader of Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN), Sheik Ibrahim Elzakzaky and his wife to get access to full medical care.

Clashes in Delhi ahead of Modi-Trump meeting

Kobe Bryant memorial at Staples Center

Tanzania plans to increase mining's contribution to GDP

Former film producer Harvey Weinstein has been found guilty on two charges of rape and sexual assault.

Julian Assange "put lives at risk" with Wikileaks documents, claim US

Wikileaks editor condemns Julian Assange hearings


Wikileaks founder Julian Assange is appearing in court for the start of his extradition hearing. Mr Assange, who spent 7 years holed up in the UK's Ecuadorian Embassy, is wanted in the United States to face 18 charges relating to espionage and computer hacking. 

The 48-year-old Australian made global headlines a decade ago when Wikileaks published classified videos and unredacted files from inside the American government, something which the US authorities claim put lives at risk.  

But current Wikileaks editor Kristinn Hrafnsson spoke outside of Woolwich Crown Court in London on Monday and called the hearing "shameful."

US president Trump arrives in India for official visit

US president Donald Trump on Monday arrived in India for the start of a two-day visit - his maiden visit to the country.

He landed in Ahmedabad in western India before going to the Taj Mahal in Agra, and then on to New Delhi, where official talks will take place with the country's prime minister Narendra Modi.

The two leaders are aiming to boost ties, but hopes have faded that the two countries might reach a trade deal during this visit.

Business Morale in Germany Up, Despite Coronavirus Fears


Business moral in Germany rose in February, despite fears over the spread of the coronavirus.

That's according to a survey by the Ifo institute, saying its business climate index rose to 96.1 for the months, up 0.1 from January.

But it's warned the findings don't fully reflect the possible fall out from the disease.

DR Congo Ebola Funding

Coronavirus spread raises fears of pandemic

Coronavirus has now spread to 29 countries, with more than 2,500 deaths in mainland China alone. Experts are saying that the situation could be in the early stages of a pandemic. 


South Korea has the largest number of confirmed cases outside of China, whilst Italy has the most in Europe. 


In the UK, four passengers flown back from a quarantined cruise ship have now tested positive, bringing the total number of cases in Britain to 13.
