China's Top Leadership Meets For Biggest Annual Meeting

Hundreds of top Chinese leaders gather behind closed doors this week to pave the Communist Party's way forward.

Analysts say China's economy is in need of serious structural reform but many expect President Xi Jinping to use the fourth plenary session to tighten his grip on power.

Russia says no proof of Baghdadi's death

Russia's defence ministry claims there's no proof that the US carried out an operation to exterminate Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

The comments come after US President Donald Trump thanked Russia for its assistance in the Baghdadi operation.

Isis leader al-Baghdadi killed

The leader of the Islamic State terror group, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, has been killed in a US military operation in northwest Syria.

In a triumphant and at times graphic White House address, US President Donald Trump said al-Baghdadi detonated his suicide vest after fleeing into a tunnel.

Tens of thousands call for independence in Barcelona

Tens of thousands of peaceful demonstrators have marched through the
streets of Barcelona calling for independence and the release of
prisoners.

On October 14th nine separatist leaders were handed up to 13 years in
prison over a failed independence bid back in 2017.

RPTS: DOJ opens criminal investigation into Mueller Russia probe


The US Department of Justice has reportedly turned its probe into the origins of the Mueller inquiry into an official criminal investigation.

US considers additional troops in Syria
