Bill Cosby due to be sentenced today

It's the second day of American comedian Bill Cosby's sentencing hearing in Pennsylvania.

The 81-year-old faces up to 10 years in prison after he was found guilty of drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand in 2004.

White House open to testimony from second Kavanaugh accuser

The White House says it is open to hearing testimony from a second woman who has accused Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct.

The Senate Judiciary Committee is already scheduled to hear from his first accuser on Thursday.

Mr Kavanaugh denies the charges, and retains the support of the White House.

UK Cabinet Agrees in principle to post-Brexit Immigration Policy



The British Cabinet has agreed in principle to a post-Brexit system of immigration, where people from the EU would face the same immigration rules as those from outside the European Union.


The migration policy is expected to be announced by the UK Prime Minister during her party conference next week.

UK LABOUR PARTY: LIKELY TO VOTE AGAINST BREXIT DEAL

The UK's opposition Labour Party says it is 'likely' its MPs will be told to vote against any Brexit deal secured by Prime Minister Theresa May.

Labour says if she reaches an agreement with Brussels, it looks set to fail six key tests the opposition has set.

If Parliament rejected the Brexit deal offered, Labour says it would then press for a general election.

EU outlines payment plan for Iran to avoid US sanctions

US President Donald Trump's nominee for the Supreme Court says 'false accusations' have been made against him and he won't pull out of the process.

Brett Kavanugh's told Fox News he denies allegations of sexual misconduct made by two women.

India begins massive screening operation to save Asiatic lions

In the Indian state of Gujarat, which is home to the endangered Asiatic lion, over sixty teams have been set-up to rescue those animals that may be sick.

This comes after the carcasses of 11 lions, including cubs, were found in the first week of September.

China hits back at U.S. after latest raft of tariffs

UN targets global drugs trade

Over 120 countries have signed up to support global efforts to tackle
the international drugs trade.

At a special, high-level meeting at the United Nations world leaders
discussed the rising problems of trafficking and drugs use.

At the event called the 'Global call to action on the World Drug
Problem' countries also looked at different ways to better engage the
