Army Chiefs from 12 African Nations Call for Rapid Response for Regional Conflicts

In Uganda Military Chiefs and Defense Ministers from twelve African States have resolved to work together to resolve conflicts by establishing a rapid response force.

Moscow dismisses claims that its war games will be used to launch invasion

HOUSTON DECLARES NIGHT-TIME CURFEW

Flood-hit Houston has declared a night-time curfew in response to the effects of Hurricane Harvey.

Large parts of the city are still under water with over 20 people reported to have lost their lives.

Boat arrival on Torres Strait island breaches Australia's borders

Australia's borders have successfully been breached after a group of Chinese men landed on the nation's territory trying to enter the country illegally.

US Defense Secretary puts temporary hold on Trump transgender ban in military


US President Donald Trump's Defense Secretary James Mattis has frozen a planned halt on transgender people in the military.

President Trump signed a memorandum on Friday directing US forces not to accept transgender people as recruits...but Secretary Mattis says current policy will remain in place until a review requested by the White House has been completed.

UN condemns escalating violence against Rohingya in Myanmar

The United Nations has denounced escalating violence between Myanmar's security forces and Rohingya Muslims in the country.

This comes after militants attacked security forces over the weekend, in response to ongoing discrimination against the Rohingya people.

Revelations that lawyers for the Trump organisation were discussing a possible major real estate deal in Moscow have pushed the Trump-Russia investigation back into the headlines in America.
