Trump: potential Iranian leaders dead; Iran strikes were preemptive

US President Trump says that Iranian officials the United States had eyed as potential new leaders of the country had been killed in the U.S.-Israeli bombing campaign. War spreads through Middle East

More than 800 people have been killed in the conflict across the Middle East since Saturday, when the United States and Israel launched their attacks on Iran and killed the country's supreme leader.

On Tuesday the Israeli military said that it was carrying out additional strikes in Iran, and had targeted weapons storage facilities in the Lebanese capital, Beirut.

Hezbollah, the Iran-backed Lebanese terrorist group said it had fired attack drones at Israel.

US military say operation against Iran in early stages as US death toll reaches 4
