On the fourth anniversary of the full-scale invasion in Ukraine Moscow reaffirmed its objectives to wage a war against its neighbour. Since 24 February 2022 tens of thousands servicemen have been killed in fighting, thousands of civilians injured and tens of thousands of homes destroyed on both sides of the frontline, with millions living in exile. Yet Kremlin insists it will continue with the offensive, while staying open to negotiations. Daria Bondarchuk reports from Moscow.

Trump threatens higher tariffs for countries who "play games" after Supreme Court ruled tariffs illegal

US president Donald Trump has threatened to put higher tariffs on countries that want to "play games" after a key U.S. Supreme Court tariff ruling.

The US's highest court said that the levies imposed by Mr Trump last year based on a national emergency law were illegal.

In response, President Trump imposed a 15 percent tariff on global imports over the weekend and claimed that Congress had given him the power to use other kinds of tariff laws "in a much more powerful and obnoxious way, with legal certainty."

Secret Service shoots, kills armed man at Mar-a-Lago

Secret service agents and other law enforcement officials shot and killed an armed man who entered the perimeter of US President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida in the early hours of Sunday morning.


Local police identified the man as 21-year-old Austin Tucker Martin from the US state of North Carolina.
