France to treat some of the people injured in deadly Swiss bar fire

France is treating some of the people who were injured in the deadly bar fire in neighbouring Switzerland.

At least 40 people were killed and more than 100 others were injured in the blaze, the majority of whom are in intensive care.

English Channel Small Boat Crossings Increase

More than 41-thousand migrants crossed the English Channel in small boats in 2025.

It's the second highest annual figure on record.

In November, the UK home secretary announced changes to try and combat the issue - including making it easier to deport people.

Ship seized by Finland transporting sanctioned Russian steel

A ship accused of damaging an undersea telecommunications cable was
reportedly carrying sanctioned Russian steel.

UK NHS ROLLS OUT CHICKENPOX VACCINE

A vaccine protecting against chickenpox is being rolled out on the UK's National Health Service for the first time.

Children across the UK will be offered a combined jab alongside the MMR vaccine.

Investigators are still searching for victims of a fire at a Swiss ski resort which killed around 40 people.

'Several Dozen' Presumed Dead In Swiss Ski Resort Fire

Police in Switzerland say 'several dozen' people are presumed dead - and more than a hundred have been injured- after a fire at a bar in the Swiss Alps.


It's believed the fire spread rapidly after breaking out at roughly 1.30 in the morning local time at Le Constellation bar in Crans-Montana. ((Pron: Cron-Montana))


10 helicopters, 40 ambulances and 150 responders were sent to the scene. Many of the injured are suffering from severe burns, and have been sent to specialist treatment centres.


Authorities say it's not being treated as terror related.
