Caracas says the US is guilty of 'international piracy' after American forces seized an oil tanker off the coast of Venezuela.

Officials say it was carrying sanctioned oil, and the Trump administration accuses Venezuela of drug trafficking and supporting foreign terrorist organisations.

Venezuela accuses Washington of trying to steal its resources.

IndiGo denies claims that flight disruptions were 'deliberate'

India's largest domestic carrier IndiGo has denied claims that flight disruptions, that have impacted tens of thousands of passengers for more than a week now, were 'deliberate'.

The carrier has been forced to scale back operations by 10%, as official scrutiny of its operations grows.

More than 2000 IndiGo flights have been cancelled across major Indian airports in the last week and a half, after the airline failed to make adequate preparations for new rules governing pilots' flying hours.

President Donald Trump says the US military has seized an oil tanker off of Venezuela's coast, in a major escalation in tensions with the South American nation.  Under Trump's directive, the US has amassed significant military assets in the Caribbean in recent months and has blown up nearly 2-dozen alleged drug boats. Fed cuts rates 0.25 percentage points for third time this year

The US central bank has cut interest rates by a quarter percentage point for the third time this year -  with a new range of 3.5 percent to 3.75 percent.

Federal judge says Los Angeles National Guard deployment is unlawful

Venezuela 'will breathe again’ vows peace prize winner

The daughter of this year's Nobel Peace Prize winner has accepted the award on her behalf.


Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado hasn't been seen publicly since January over fears she'll be arrested by the Maduro regime.


She was given the prestigious prize for her efforts to restore democracy in Venezuela. 


Machado had planned to be at the ceremony in Norway herself, but is now expected to arrive later on Wednesday. She's been told she will be declared a fugitive if she leaves Venezuela.


Speaking on behalf of her mother at the event in Oslo, her daughter Ana said it's important to raise awareness and vowed that Venezuela 'will breathe again'.
