India non-committal on extraditing Sheikh Hasina

India says it is willing to work 'constructively' with its neighbour Bangladesh, after Dhaka asked New Delhi to hand over the country's deposed Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Hasina has been living in New Delhi in hiding ever since she fled Bangladesh last year, following a student uprising that saw her government collapse.

On Monday, she was found guilty of having committed 'crimes against humanity' for ordering a crackdown on protesting students, and has been sentenced to death.
