The White House has welcomed the resignation of the BBC's Director General and Chief Executive of News.

Tim Davie and Deborah Turness announced they were stepping down after controversy over the editing of a speech by Donald Trump on the day of the Capitol attack in 2021.

They've also faced criticism over a Gaza documentary and live Glastonbury coverage.

Former Culture Secretary Sir John Whittingdale says more change is needed at the BBC.

Turkish delegation to visit Pakistan this week

Putin orders proposals on resuming nuclear weapons tests
