Hundreds of South Koreans detained in US immigration raid at battery plant

Hundreds of workers  - many from South Korea  -  have been detained in what U.S. officials are calling the largest-ever immigration raid at a single site. 

The operation at a Hyundai-linked battery plant in Georgia has sparked diplomatic concern in South Korea.

Trump rebranding Department of Defense to Department of War

Authorities in Portugal begin identifying funicular crash dead

Portuguese authorities say three British nationals were among 16 people killed in a funicular railway crash in Lisbon.

The Glória cable railway derailed and crashed into a building on Wednesday, and an investigation is under way.

Bulgaria walks back Russia jamming claim

India overhauls consumption tax system

India has announced an overhaul of its consumption tax system, making most everyday goods cheaper.

Its Goods and Services Tax will now be divided into two slabs of 5 per cent and 18 per cent, replacing the current four categories.

REPORTS: White House looking to offer New York mayor a job, to give Andrew Cuomo a better chance in mayoral election

It's being reported that the White House may be looking to directly intervene in the New York mayoral election by offering candidates who may split the vote jobs in the administration.
