India's shrimp farmers brace for impact after Trump announces additional tariffs

India's shrimp farmers are bracing for impact on the seafood industry after President Donald Trump announced 25% additional tariffs over and above the 25% announced earlier.

Experts say the US market accounts for over 40% of India's total shrimp exports, and this decision will leave the livelihoods of millions in India at stake.

The venue is a surprise, and the Kremlin is continuing to insist that the Russian leader is in no mood for compromise over his war in Ukraine.

Trump celebrates sweeping global tariffs taking effect

President Donald Trump is celebrating his sweeping global tariffs - which took effect overnight… declaring that "BILLIONS OF DOLLARS IN TARIFFS ARE NOW FLOWING INTO THE  US."


Just about every product shipped into the US is now being hit with a 10% to 50% tax including cars, washing machines, fruits, wines and clothing.

First Migrants Detained Under UK/France Deal

The first migrants have been detained in the UK under the new 'one in/one out' deal agreed with France which came into effect this week. 

The British Home Office says the migrants, who arrived by small boat to the country on Wednesday, have been placed in a removal centre and are set to be returned to France.


As part of the deal- the 'one out' detention activates the reciprocal 'one in' process for migrants in France to apply for entry into the UK subject to visa and security checks
