US markets opened with strong gains on Wednesday morning following President Trump's announcement that a trade agreement had been reached with Japan.

Japan's Nikkei index also saw gains — just days before the United States' reciprocal tariff deadline, which is set to affect a number of its international partners.

Lawsuit in France relating to airbags responsible for at least 60 deaths in 11 countries

A class action lawsuit has been brought in France against Stellantis, the owner of Citroen cars.
