US-China trade talks on export controls resume for a second day

AID YACHT DOCKS IN ISRAEL

A boat bound for Gaza carrying aid and campaigners, including Greta Thunberg, has docked in Israel.

Israeli forces intercepted the ship in the Mediterranean Sea.

Reports: Trump deploying hundreds of Marines in Los Angeles

President Trump is reported to be sending several hundred members of the US Marine Corps to Los Angeles, along with more National Guard troops following last night's clashes in pockets of the city between police and anti-deportation protestors.


The Governor of California, Gavin Newsom, is suing the Trump administration in an effort to block the move that he says will only inflame tensions.

US marines mobilized for LA protests

Around 500 US marines have reportedly been mobilized to help respond
to the protests in Los Angeles.

Donald Trump has defended his decision to deploy the National Guard
over the weekend, even though California Governor Gavin Newsom called

Trump travel ban begins against 19 countries

The new US travel ban has started, with citizens from 12 countries
barred from entering the country.

US and Chinese Officials Meet For Trade Talks In UK

Ugandan Security Recover Explosives in Suspected Terrorist's Home

UN Ocean Conference begins in France with aims to protect the high seas

World leaders, scientists, and civil society groups are in the southern French city of Nice for the United Nations Ocean Conference.

One of the key ambitions of the summit is to ratify the High Seas Treaty. 60 nations must sign up for it to become binding, but only 21 countries have committed to the treaty so far.

Israel says Gaza-bound aid boat with Greta Thunberg onboard diverted

Israel says an aid boat - carrying supplies and activists - headed to Gaza has been diverted to Israeli territory.

The Foreign Ministry has put a message on X to say that those on board "are expected to return to their home countries."

The activists - including Greta Thunberg - said they wanted to deliver humanitarian help.

The Israeli Foreign Ministry posted this online - which was apparently a message given to the ship as it emerged from international waters.
