NATIONAL GUARD CLASHES WITH PROTESTORS IN LA

National Guard soldiers have fired tear gas and rubber bullets on demonstrators in Los Angeles.

They were deployed by President Donald Trump to crack down on protests on immigration raids.

Demonstrations have continued for a third day and several arrests have been made.

UK and India discuss counter-terrorism following Pakistan ceasefire

The UK and India have discussed increasing their "counter-terrorism" collaboration during a visit by Britain's foreign minister to New Delhi over the weekend.

Israel says Gaza-bound aid boat with Greta Thunberg onboard diverted

Israel says an aid boat - carrying supplies and activists - headed to Gaza has been diverted to Israeli territory.

The Foreign Ministry has put a message on X to say that those on board "are expected to return to their home countries."

The activists - including Greta Thunberg - said they wanted to deliver humanitarian help.

Trump vows to "liberate" Los Angeles

President Trump is vowing to "liberate" Los Angeles, after National Guard troops fired pepper spray and tear gas at demonstrators protesting immigration raids outside a federal detention center.


Hundreds of National Guard have now been deployed in the city by the President, and he says he will order troops to take positions "everywhere" to bring the civil unrest to an end.
