Trump's tariffs can continue judge rules

US president Donald Trump's global tariffs have been temporarily
reinstated, after a federal appeals court agreed to pause a ruling
halting the import taxes while it considers the White House's appeal.

The Trump administration had threatened to go to the Supreme Court if
it was unable to block the trade court's ruling that said the
president had exceeded his authority in imposing the tariffs.

China slams 'unreasonable' US decision to revoke student visas

US COURT BLOCKS TRUMP TARIFFS

Donald Trump's sweeping tariffs regime has been blocked by a federal trade court in the US.

The three-judge panel ruled the President overstepped his authority by using an emergency-powers law to impose the duties.

The court says the Trump administration should remove almost all tariffs within ten days.

Former surgeon given 20-year sentence in one of France's largest child sex abuse cases

A former surgeon has been found guilty in France in one of the country's worst child sex abuse cases.

Joel Le Scouarnec raped and sexually assaulted 299 people - the majority of whom were children, in the period from 1989 to 2014.
