The UK's FTSE 100 had its best morning since Pfizer and BioNTech announced they had created an effective Covid-19 vaccine in 2020.

But it's left the market way down since before US President Donald Trump's "Liberation Day" tariffs were imposed.

European leaders are welcoming a move by U.S. President Donald Trump to pause sweeping tariffs for 90 days.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen called the pause an "important step" toward stabilizing the global economy.

European markets surge after Trump U-turn on tariffs

European stock markets have surged on opening on Thursday, following President Trump's 90-day pause on the reciprocal tariffs.

Ukraine says over 150 Chinese nationals fighting with Russia

Ukraine's President claims that more than 150 Chinese nationals are
