EU THREATENS "STRONG PLAN" IN RESPONSE TO INCOMING U.S. TARIFFS

European Commission Chief Ursula von der Leyen says the European Union has a "strong plan' to retaliate against Washington's incoming tariffs, but that Brussels would rather negotiate a solution.

The US has already imposed tariffs on EU metals, but more are expected on Wednesday and Thursday.

Marine Le Pen hits out at being barred from running in presidential election

The French opposition leader Marine Le Pen has spoken out after being barred from running in the 2027 presidential election following her conviction for embezzlement on Monday.

She told a meeting of her party, the National Rally, that "we will not let the election be stolen from the French people."
