GERMANY'S CONSERVATIVES LOOK TO BUILD COALITION AFTER ELECTION

Friedrich Merz's conservatives are set to begin work on forming a coalition after winning Germany's election.

He's ruled out working with the AfD party which came in second, but is considered far right by Merz's Christian Democrats and other mainstream parties.

Chancellor Olaf Scholz's Social Democrats came third after the weekend vote.

Trump reiterates voter turnout funding for India

Healthcare CEO murder suspect in court Friday facing state murder, terror charges

Senate confirms Kash Patel as new FBI director

Kash Patel, a longtime loyalist to President Donald Trump, has been confirmed as the new Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

The final vote was 51-49 with all Senate Democrats opposing him along with two republican senators - Alaska's Lisa Murkowski and Maine's Susan Collins.
