GRENFELL TOWER TO BE DEMOLISHED

Grenfell Tower in London, in which a fire killed dozens in 2017, is to be demolished.

Bereaved families say they've been told of the decision by the government.

Ministers had previously been warned the structure may be unsafe because of the extensive fire damage.

72 people died in the fire which spread quickly because the apartment block was covered in flammable cladding.

Former resident Tiago Alvez says the decision to pull Grenfell down is a shock.
