Bank of Japan raises interest rates to highest level since 2008

Japan's central bank has raised interest rates to the highest level since 2008.

This comes as inflation readings in the country have come in above target.

Trump says he will reach out to North Korea's Kim Jong Un

Donald Trump sets off on first trip of second term

Judge blocks Trump's US citizenship executive order

Donald Trump's plans to end citizenship for anyone born in the United States have been blocked by a judge.


A Seattle judge called Trump's executive order "blatantly unconstitutional" and issued a temporary restraining order.


The new US President has vowed to clamp down on immigration, but is already facing legal hurdles just days after being sworn into office.

President Trump says the U.S. will have the best tax rates in the world for global business

SOUTHPORT MURDERER JAILED FOR AT LEAST 51 YEARS

The man who murdered three girls at a Taylor Swift-themed dance event in north-west England last year will serve a minimum of 51 years in prison.

Red Storm Warning Issues For Parts Of UK and Ireland

A rare red 'danger to life' weather warning has been issued for parts of the UK.


Storm Éowyn (Ay-oh-win) is forecast to bring heavy rain and wind gusts of 100 miles per hour to Scotland and Northern Ireland tomorrow (Friday).


There are warnings of damage to buildings, schools have been urged to shut and significant travel disruption is expected.

Trump administration instructs US civil servants instructed to rat on colleagues over DEI
