Texas offers Trump land for mass deportations

The US state of Texas is offering Donald Trump land to use for deportation facilities, as the president-elect promises to fix the country's border crisis.


The state's Land Commissioner Dawn Buckingham says the ranch on the US-Mexico border can be used for "the largest deportation of violent criminals in the nation's history."

U.S vetoes Security Council resolution on Gaza

The United States has once again used its veto to block a Security
Council resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
Washington says it could support the text claiming Hamas would have

US EMBASSY CLOSES OVER WARNINGS OF AIR ATTACK IN KYIV

The US embassy in Kyiv has been closed temporarily following warnings of what's being called a potential "significant" air attack by Russia.

It comes after approval by Washington of the use by Ukraine of long-range Army Tactical Missile System (Atacms) missiles, which Russia says have already struck targets inside its territory.

It's also reported the US will now supply Ukraine with anti-personnel land mines.

Hush money prosecutors agree to postpone Trump sentencing

Prosecutors in Donald Trump's hush money case say they are open to delaying the president-elect's sentencing, but would oppose dropping the case completely.


In a court filing on Tuesday, the Manhattan district attorney's office agreed to postpone next week's sentence.


Trump was found guilty by a jury of falsifying business records earlier this year - but his victory in the US presidential election has complicated proceedings.
