UN report suggests Gaza war has set Palestine’s development back nearly 70 years

A new United Nations report released on Tuesday suggests that the
impact of the year-long war in Gaza has set development back by about
69 years.
The UN Development Programme or UNDP says the Palestinian economy may
not be able to restore pre-war levels and advance forward even when
the fighting ends.

Republicans close early voting gap with Democrats

More Republicans are casting their ballots early, compared to four years ago, although Democrats still hold the edge in early voting turnout.


With election day still two weeks away, over fifteen million Americans have already voted by mail or at in-person early voting stations.

Parliamentary battles over contentious budget begin in France

The French parliament has formally started debating the new coalition government's contentious budget.

The finance minister is hoping to make some $60 billion dollars' worth of savings to deal with the country's colossal debt.

1100 Prisoners To Be Released In UK To Combat Overcrowding

Around 1 thousand 100 prisoners are due to be freed early from jails in England and Wales today (Tuesday).


It's part of efforts to ease prison overcrowding, and follows the release of nearly two thousand prisoners in September.


In a bid to find a long term solution, the UK Government is launching a sentencing review that will explore tougher punishments outside of prison while making sure there is space to incarcerate the most dangerous offenders.

India-China agree on border pact to eventually resolve dispute

Harris and Trump neck and neck in swing states

Vice President Kamala Harris and former president Donald Trump are virtually neck and neck across the seven battleground states with just two weeks left of campaigning before the 2024 election - according to a new poll.

Israel attacks another UN peacekeeping site in Southern Lebanon

demolishing' a watchtower and fence at one of its peacekeeping sites

Moldova votes in favor of EU membership
