USA says India not taking Canada's allegations over as assassination plot seriously

The United States has urged India to take Canada's allegations of New Delhi alleged involvement in the assassination of a Sikh separatist leader on Canadian soil seriously.

New Delhi and Ottawa have expelled top diplomats this week, marking a new low in bilateral ties.

Earlier this week, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau also said India had made a 'fundamental error' by backing 'criminal acts in Canada'.

UK INFLATION IN SURPRISE FALL

UK inflation has fallen to an annual rate of 1.7, its lowest in over three years.

US presses Israel to allow Gaza aid, and threatens to withhold arms

The United States is demanding Israel boost aid access to Gaza, and warns failure to do so would risk cutting off some US military assistance.


In a letter, the Biden administration instructed its Middle East ally to act "within 30 days" on a series of concrete measures, expressing "deep concern" about the "deteriorating humanitarian situation" in the war-torn Palestinian territory.

UN concerned about food supplies in Northern Gaza
