Vote counting in India administered Jammu and Kashmir

American scientists win Nobel prize for discovery of microMRNA

American scientists Victor Ambros and Gary Ruvkun have won this year's Nobel Prize in physiology or medicine for the discovery of microRNA, a tiny molecule that governs how cells in the body function.

It has been connected to heart disease, cancers and viral diseases.

Biden, Harris + Trump mark Oct 7 anniversary

French president says France shares pain of Israel on anniversary of October 7 attackss

The French president has issued a statement online on the anniversary of the Hamas attacks in Israel on October 7.

Emmanuel Macron said "The pain remains, as vivid as it was a year ago. The pain of the Israeli people. Ours. The pain of wounded humanity."

It comes after a tense time for France-Israel relations, following the president's call for an arms embargo on Israel.

Pakistan's beefs up security at the country's largest airport
