US President Joe Biden has told the United Nations that the world is at an "inflection point", as it deals with multiple crises including wars, famine, and climate change.

It was the President's final address to the Assembly after he chose not to seek reelection in this November's election.

UK FOREIGN SEC “DEEPLY ALARMED” BY CIVILIAN CASUALTIES LEBANON/ISRAEL


The UK's Foreign Secretary has expressed deep alarm at civilian casualties from the escalating conflict across the Israeli-Lebanese border.

Indian administered Jammu and Kashmir gears up for second round of voting

Intro:


Voters in 26 constituencies in the Indian administered Jammu and Kashmir region will vote in the second phase of the regional election on Wednesday.


It's the first local election in the province in a decade - with demands to make Jammu and Kashmir a state once again taking center stage.  


The region was placed under federal control and stripped of its special privileges in 2019 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government.
