The UK's Foreign Secretary has expressed deep alarm at civilian casualties from the escalating conflict across the Israeli-Lebanese border. 

David Lammy called for a ceasefire on both sides, following the deadliest day of conflict between Israel and Hezbollah since 2006, as fears of an all out war grow.

Indian administered Jammu and Kashmir gears up for second round of voting

Voters in 26 constituencies in the Indian administered Jammu and Kashmir region will vote in the second phase of the regional election on Wednesday.

It's the first local election in the province in a decade - with demands to make Jammu and Kashmir a state once again taking center stage.
