Harris campaign raises $310 million in July

Kamala Harris's presidential campaign has announced it raised more than 300 million dollars in July, the largest monthly total so far in this year's election cycle.

Americans return from Russia in multi-nation prisoner swap

Three Americans have touched down back on US soil to scenes of jubilation and relief after being imprisoned in Russia. 

Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich, journalist Alsu Kurmasheva and US Marine veteran Paul Whelan were part of the biggest prisoner swap between the West and Russia since the Cold War.

They were met on the tarmac just outside of Washington DC by their families, as well as President Joe Biden and Vice-President Kamala Harris.

Torrential rains kill hundreds across India

Russia, West hold largest prisoner exchange since the Cold War

In the largest prisoner exchange since the Cold War, the US, Germany, Slovenia and Russia agreed to exchange 26 people. The prisoner swap took place in the capital of Turkey, Ankara.
