It's been a record-breaking two days with US Vice President Kamala Harris securing more than 100 million dollars, and now support from two top Democrats, the House minority leader and Senate majority leaders, to be their party's presidential nominee.

Reports: Menendez to resign from US Senate in August

Embattled US lawmaker Robert Menendez will resign from the Senate effective August 20th, according to multiple media outlets.

The New Jersey Democrat was convicted earlier this month on federal charges of taking bribes and working as a foreign agent.

President Biden condemns fatal police shooting of Black woman

US authorities have released a video showing a white police officer fatally shooting a Black woman, in a case sparking outrage across the country.


The video includes body-cam footage from the sheriffs who responded to Sonya Massey's home in the US state of Illinois on July 6.


It has reignited national debate about police use of force and racial discrimination.
