Italian authorities investigating Armani and Dior


Italy's antitrust watchdog is now investigating Armani and Dior over potential breaches of consumer standards.

The move follows the discovery of workshops in northern Italy that were using illegal immigrants to produce leather bags for the luxury brands.

Dangote Refinery Alleges International Oil Companies are Frustrating its Crude Supply

The management of Dangote Refinery, owned by Africa's richest man, Aliko Dangote, says International Oil Companies or IOCs operating in Nigeria have consistently frustrated the company's requests for locally produced crude as feedstock for its refining process.

Two more Indian soldiers injured in fresh gunfighting in Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday

Two Indian soldiers have been injured in a gun battle between security forces and militants in Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday, days after four security personnel were killed in the same region.

Protesting students announce nationwide shutdown in Bangladesh

Protesters in Bangladesh are enforcing a nationwide shutdown on Thursday, saying only hospitals and emergency services will be allowed to run.

Six students have been killed in clashes with police and pro-government groups this week.

Former CIA analyst charged with being South Korea 'secret agent'

A former CIA analyst has been charged with being South Korea's 'secret agent' in the United States.


Sue Mi Terry was indicted by a New York grand jury earlier this week for allegedly working for Seoul for more than a decade, in exchange for luxury gifts.

Uganda Pays Reparations to DR CONGO for Atrocities Committed by its Troops

Uganda has made a partial payment of $65million to the DRC government as reparations for war crimes committed by its troops in Eastern DRC between 1998-2003.

The Democratic Republic of Congo filed a case against Uganda in 1999 at the International Court of Justice alleging Ugandan troops committed atrocities and stole valuable minerals including gold, diamond and timber.
