Biden defiant as Michigan voters urge him to stay in race

US President Joe Biden has returned to the campaign trail, telling voters in Michigan that he has no plans to leave the race for the White House.


The President was speaking after a growing number of Democrats in Congress called on him to stand down.

Charges against Alec Baldwin over 'Rust' shooting dismissed

A judge in New Mexico has dismissed the case against Alec Baldwin over the shooting death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of the movie 'Rust'  almost three years ago.

Biden digs in as more Democrats defect

More US Democratic lawmakers have told President Joe Biden it's time
to step aside as calls grow for him to suspend his re-election bid.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries met Biden at the White House
late on Thursday to convey the concerns of House Democrats.

While influential mega donors are reportedly holding back $90 million
of fundraising until the president drops out.

But his allies continue to voice their support for him.

California Governor Gavin Newsom - considered a possible replacement
for Biden - was asked by CBS if he was entertaining ideas of forcing
the president aside.

UK Government To Release Thousands More Prisoners Early To Relieve Prison Crisis

President Biden swats away calls to step aside, as he's hit with more dissenters

'The Shining' actress Shelley Duvall dies aged 75

Actress Shelley Duvall, best known for her roles in 'The Shining' and 'Nashville',  has died aged 75.


Her death is believed to have been caused by complications of diabetes - those close to her say Duvall died in her sleep on Thursday at her home in the US state of Texas.
