Report: Italy to buy 24 new Eurofighter jets over next decade


Italy's government is reportedly planning to spend more than 8 billion dollars on new fighter jets.

The Italian military is in the midst of transitioning from the current Eurofighter programme to a new jet being designed by an international coalition.

Biden's top envoy in the Middle East as ceasefire talks progress

One of President Biden's top advisors is expected in Israel on Tuesday, for meetings with senior officials amid increased pressure by mediators to try and get Israel and Hamas to agree to a hostage and ceasefire deal.

French prosecutors opens investigation into Marine Le Pen's campaign finances

The Paris public prosecutor's office has opened a judicial investigation into suspected illegal campaign financing by far-right figurehead Marine Le Pen, that's according to French media.

New Delhi says Modi urges Putin to end Ukraine war

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reportedly told Russia's Vladmir Putin "a solution cannot be found on the battlefield".

Modi is on his first foreign visit to Russia after coming back to power for a rare third term this summer. It's also his first visit since the war in Ukraine started.

Biden, White House pushes back against concerns over ability to lead

US President Joe Biden has told those who think he is not fit to serve
another term as president to challenge him at the Democratic
convention in August.

The president is trying to address growing concerns within his party
about his mental fitness for the job.

Biden also sent a letter to Democratic lawmakers on Tuesday saying he
"firmly committed" to staying in the race.

NASA completes year-long Mars simulation

Boeing agrees deal over fatal 737 MAX crashes
