Relations between both countries had turned sour after the coup in Niger last year, led to border closure and the shutting down of a China-backed oil pipeline.

The driver responsible for a deadly crash in downtown Seoul is being questioned by police for the first time.

Hurricane Beryl is closing in on the Caribbean Island of Jamaica where it's expected to bring life threatening winds and storm surge.
Now downgraded to a category 4 hurricane it had been the earliest category 5 on record in the Atlantic - flattening Grenada's Carriacou Island and killing at least seven people.

US President Joe Biden is fighting for his political future amid rising panic within Democrat Party ranks that he's at risk of losing November's election to former President Donald Trump.
