Delhi airport terminal where roof collapsed to stay shut for a month

Days after the roof of a terminal at the Delhi airport collapsed, officials say operations will likely resume only next month.

The roof collapsed last week killing one person and injuring eight others.

The opposition has blamed the collapse on poor construction quality after reports suggested Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the recently renovated building.

But the government maintains the terminal was not refurbished but built when the opposition was in power.

Big win for far-right in first round of French elections

The far-right National Rally has dominated the first round of voting
in French parliamentary elections.

According to exit polls the anti-immigration party secured 34 percent
of the vote while the left-wing coalition won roughly 28 percent.

Emmanuel Macron's centrists came third. The French President is urging
voters to unite to block a National Rally majority in the runoff
election on July 7th.

Judge denied Alec Baldwin’s bid to have involuntary manslaughter case tossed

A New Mexico judge has denied a last ditch effort by Alec Baldwin to have his involuntary manslaughter case thrown out. Cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was killed by a prop gun Baldwin was holding while rehearsing on the movie set "Rust" in 2021. He has pleaded not guilty. Toni Waterman has more.

NYTimes Editorial Board joins calls on Biden to abandon re-election quest

US President Joe Biden says he is staying in the country's presidential race, despite growing pressure on him to drop out following Thursday's lackluster performance in a television debate with former President Donald Trump.


A growing number of Biden supporters are urging him to stand down, and Republicans in Congress say they believe Vice President Kamala Harris and members of the President's Cabinet should exercise the 25th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, and declare the President unfit for office.

US voters react to presidential debate

With just over four months to go until American's head to the polls, voters are digesting the first presidential debate of the year held on Thursday.
