Russia bans dozens of European news outlets


The Russian government has banned more than 80 European media outlets, including Agence France-Presse or AFP and Ireland's public broadcaster RTE.

The Foreign Ministry in Moscow says the move is in response to the European Union blocking access to multiple Russian networks last month.

Nigeria Activates Emergency Cholera Operations Centre

Nigeria has activated an emergency cholera operations centre.

 

This follows the outbreak of the disease in the country, with suspected cases recorded in 30 of the country's 36 states.
