In the UK, the Green Party is promising tax hikes for the wealthiest to generate £70bn ($90bn) a year for its spending pledges.

The Greens are launching their manifesto ahead of the July 4th election, promising transformational change on the green economy, housing and transport.

Labour and the Conservatives are accusing each other of billions of unfunded spending pledges or tax cuts.

It comes ahead of the latest head-to-head TV debate later between Conservative leader Rishi Sunak and Labour's Keir Starmer.

Hunter Biden guilty, after jury deliberates for only three hours

The son of US President Joe Biden has been found guilty of three criminal charges related to the illegal purchase of a gun.
During the trial, there were many witnesses including from the Biden family who spoke of his drug use in and around the time he bought the gun in 2018.

US Port of Baltimore fully reopens after bridge collapse

The Port of Baltimore shipping channel has fully reopened, more than two months after a collapsed bridge brought water traffic to a standstill.

In March, a cargo ship crashed into the Francis Scott Key Bridge in the US state of Maryland - six construction workers were killed in the incident.

A clean-up effort has been underway since then, with thousands of tons of wreckage removed from the busy channel.
