US President Joe Biden has warned that democracy is at threat in a
speech marking the 80th anniversary of D-Day.
The American leader spoke overlooking the French beaches in Normandy
where Allied soldiers landed in 1944 to fight Nazi forces.
In the run up to the US presidential election in November Biden is
warning that if re-elected Donald Trump would pose a serious threat to
US democracy and America's global standing.
The US president also spoke out against the aggression of Russian
president Vladimir Putin.
