US rejects a portion of exports of Indian spice brand over salmonella contamination

Data from the US Food and Drug Administration has revealed that United States has refused 31 per cent of all spice-related shipments exported by popular Indian spice brand MDH over salmonella contamination in the last six months.

This comes at a time when both Singapore and Hong Kong have suspended sales of certain products of Indian spice brands MDH and Everest after alleged detection of a carcinogenic pesticide.

Biden reiterates "clear position" on Rafah in call with Nethanyahu

US building aid pier off coast of Gaza to tackle escalating humanitarian disaster

The United States military has started building a large floating pier off the coast of Gaza in an attempt to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian assistance for Palestinians in the war-torn strip. 


The plan — first announced by President Joe Biden last month — will see ships carry aid from the Mediterranean island of Cyprus to a floating dock in the sea, and then transferred on boats and then lorries for distribution.


It'll be operational by early May.
