UNSC again calls on Russia to stop the war in Ukraine

United Nations Security Council members have criticised Russia's
ongoing war in Ukraine.
The Council met on Thursday following Moscow's destruction of the
largest power-generating plant in Ukraine's Kyiv region in a missile
attack.

OJ Simpson dies, aged 76

The controversial American sports figure OJ Simpson has died of cancer at the age of 76.

Biden to close 'gun show loophole'

The Biden Administration says it will close what's known as the 'gun show loophole' and expand background checks for firearms.


New rules will require people who sell firearms online and at gun shows to conduct background checks on customers.


The change will be the most sweeping expansion of these checks in decades.

US CPI report shows March inflation higher than expected

President Joe Biden calls for a ceasefire and says Israel's actions in Gaza are a "mistake"

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is — quote — "making a mistake" with his handling of the war in Gaza, according to US President Joe Biden. 


Mr Biden's comments came in a television interview with the American Spanish-language network Univision, in which he called for a 6-8 week ceasefire in the Palestinian territory, where tens of thousands of people have been killed in the past six months. 


But, his administration is stopping short of accusing Israel of violating international humanitarian law or committing genocide.
