Controversial immigration law could take effect in Texas Monday

A controversial law that would give police in Texas the power to
detain people crossing the border illegally could come into effect
today.

Senate Bill 4 has been held up by the U.S. Supreme Court as it weighs
whether the law is constitutional.

Split in Italian coalition over Russian elections


Vladimir Putin's landslide victory in the Russian presidential election has caused a split in Italy's coalition government.

Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini - who leads the right-wing League party - conspicuously refused to join his coalition partners in condemning the elections as neither free nor fair.

Hungary will set up an agricultural program with Chad

Hungary's government is looking to assist Central Africa with an agricultural program to help provide food security in the region.
