Private Company Lands Craft On The Moon
An American company has become the first private firm to land a spacecraft on the moon, when the Odysseus craft touched down near the lunar south pole.
Houston based Intuitive Machines are the company behind the project, which marks the first time in 50 years that an American craft has landed on the moon.
It's widely believed that a manned lunar mission is likely toward the end of the decade.
Odysseus is carrying a number of experiments for NASA and others, but the landing almost ended in disaster - as the astronomer and science writer Dr David Whitehouse explains.
